Pair caught with $2.5 million cash in case

POLICE have arrested two men carrying suitcases containing $2.5 million in cash at Sydney's Central railway station.

The men got off a passenger train from Perth about 11.30am (AEDT) today.
Officers noticed they were "acting suspiciously" and searched their suitcases.
Inside the suitcases was more than $2.5 million cash in Australian dollars, police say.
Both men were taken to City Central Police Station, where they were each charged with recklessly dealing in the proceeds of crime.
The 25-year-old man, from Auburn, and the 26-year-old man, from Sydney, were granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on April 19.
